Sports & Recreation Camp – June 13 – June 15
This three day daily event will enable children with visual impairments to participate in adaptive sports against other athletes who are visually impaired. In addition, children will participate in recreational activities including fishing and paddle boarding. This program is open for children ten and up. It is co-sponsored by the Naples Lions club. The camp schedule is below:
June 13 – Wednesday (come dressed in active clothing and shoes)
- 9:00-9:15 Paperwork and Camp explanation for Parents at Lighthouse of Collier
- 9:15-9:30 Travel to Pine Ridge Middle school
- 9:30-10:00 Fishing and Catching (Practice)
- 10:00-11:00 Beeper Baseball
- 11:00 to 12:00 Goalball introduction
- 12:00 to 1:00 Lunch – Jason’s Deli
- 1:00 to 2:30 Goalball
- 2:30 to 3:00 Travel to Lighthouse and Parent Pick up
June 14 – Thursday
- 8:30 Meet at the Lighthouse
- 8:30-9:00 Travel to Captain ED’s (27598 Marina Point Drive, Bonita Springs)
- 9:00 to 1:00 Fishing
- 1:00 to 2:30 Restaurant
- 2:30 to 3:00 Travel to Lighthouse and Parent Pick up
June 15 – Friday
- 9:00 to 9:15 Travel to Headpinz (8525 Radio Ln, Naples FL)
- 9:15 to 10:45 Bowling
- 10:45 to 11:15 Travel to Marco Island (480 Hernando Drive, Marco Island)
- 11:15 to 12:00 Lunch at Tigertail Beach Café
- 12:00 to 2:30 Paddle boarding (Freedom Waters)
- 2:30 to 3:00 Travel to Lighthouse and Parent Pick up
